When the treatment is finished, there is almost always a visible difference. Certainly a skilled operator can feel the difference in the skin tightness as they are treating and this is one of the ways they test how much treatment is needed in a certain area.

Due to the contraction of the protein, and then the healing process and stimulation of more collagen, the tightening effect continues over some three to four months. The full effect is usually only seen at this stage.


How long do the results last?

The proteins that have been heated and that contract are permanently changed. However, the processes that caused the skin to get loose in the first place are obviously continuing. Therefore, after treatment, although the skin has been tightened, a generalised loosening will continue due to these processes.

As such, it is generally recommended that treatments are repeated approximately every 18 months to ensure an optimal result.
